TERMS & CONDITIONS

Once you have decided on a cruise we would ask you to telephone us on
+44 7966753356 to make a firm reservation for the cruise of your choice and ensure we have a vacancy for you. We will confirm your holiday reservation as soon as we receive your deposit and at that time we will also forward your receipt, joining instructions and the balance outstanding and when it will become due.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

NOTE: In these conditions, governed and interpreted according to the rules of English Law, THE COMPANY referred to is SHADOW CRUISERS.

1. Bookings will only be accepted when made upon the official company booking form and accompanied by the specified non-refundable £50 per person (unless otherwise stated) deposit. The reminder is required 4 weeks before the cruise begins.

2 .A booking is not accepted until the correct deposit has been received by the company and confirmation of its receipt sent to the guest.

3. The company and its operators reserve the right to alter or amend routes and to allocate accommodation whenever, in its opinion, it is necessary to do so.

4. Cancellation: once a booking has been confirmed you are responsible for the total holiday charge, not just the deposit.
Changes to holiday dates after confirmation has been sent count as cancellations unless at the companies discretion the booking can be reallocated to an alternative date.
Should a guest have to withdraw their holiday booking, written notice of the cancellation should be sent to our PO Box as soon as possible. The monies already paid are not refundable unless the company can re-let the accommodation, if the accommodation is successfully re-let then all monies paid, less the £50 per person non refundable deposit, will be returned in full.  We strongly advise our guests to obtain adequate travel/cancellation insurance to cover all unexpected events (accident/ ill health /death) or from any cause to a party member or close relative to cover cancellation risks.

5. The company and its operators will make every effort to keep to the advertised schedule but shall not be liable for any loss to guests occasioned by delay, mechanical or electrical breakdown, and failure to keep time or any other cause whatsoever.

6. The company reserves the right to cancel any cruise due to circumstances beyond its control. In such cases, any monies received from the guest will be refunded in full.

7. The company shall not be liable for loss or damage to any article or personal property belonging to the guest which may be sustained during the cruise or while the articles are upon the craft.

8. The company shall not be liable for any personal injury suffered by the guest during the cruise or whilst upon the craft, how so ever caused. The company shall have no responsibility for children under the age of 14yrs whilst on or off the boat.

9. The company takes no responsibility for any consequences of not being informed regarding health problems of a guest.

10. The company reserves the right to terminate a passenger’s cruise should that person in the opinion of the company have placed the boats, equipment or passengers in danger of damage or injury by ignoring the advice or restrictions imposed in order to protect against such damage or injury to persons or property whilst travelling with the company. The company also reserves the right to expel any person found smoking inside the boats, or anyone who in the opinion of the master of the vessel exhibits behaviour disruptive to the group. No compensation will be paid for cruise time or facilities cancelled due to this action.

11. CLOSURES: Occasionally, canals are closed at short notice due to emergency repairs or drought, rivers because of flood. Should a closure occur which affects one or more of our cruises, the company will make every effort to re-rout the boats and will inform guests accordingly. Guests will have no claim upon the company and in particular no right of cancellation should re-routing be necessary. Also see Clause 6.

12. We reserve the right to change the cost of the published charges.

13. Pets are allowed on the boats however a charge of £25 per pet is the responsibility of the owner.  Pets must have there own bedding /food/dish/towels ect. Pets must be kept off the bedding in the cabins at all times. Pets must stay in the sun canopy whilst food is being prepared and while dinning is taking place. Any damage caused by the pet must be paid for before departure.

14. Cars parked in Skipton are parked at owners own risk. Shadow Cruisers are not responsible for any damage how so ever caused while on a cruise.
